I just got a brand new 17" MacBook Pro, so sweeeeet, and don't fully trust the migration assistant to move everything over. Is there an easy way that I'm missing to import your old iPhoto gallery, structure intact, over to a new computer?

Thanks!

Yep, move your iPhoto Library folder in Pictures from one machine to the other.

Honestly, that's the same thing the Migration Assistant would do. I've used the Migration Assistant many times with no trouble at all.

Migration assistant is awesome. I transferred from a Pismo to a MBP and it was a perfect transfer.

A lot of people reported issues when using the migration assistant going from a PPC mac to an intel Mac. I'm glad it well for you but I've seena lot of posts over on the apple discussion forum about how their macs were messed up by Migration assistant.
