Hey guys, i was just playing around with the speech feature "Speakable items" etc
I was just wondering if anyone knew any cool commands I can make it do?
I've been playing around with asking it to tell me jokes, the time etc
I've even made a few of my favourite web pages speakable...
What I'd really like though is for more controls within an application:
For instance i can open iTunes etc but could a make it go to a certain playlist and start playing?

Any ideas, thoughts, general principles to be aware of?

It's gonna be difficult to do something like pick a playlist, but you can make any key sequence a speakable item. For instance while in iTunes you could make commands like "next" "play" "stop" "volume up", etc, and have those mapped to the keyboard shortcuts.

You can turn any of your iTunes scripts into a speakable item .... just make an alias to it in your speakable items folder. If you need any more iTunes scripts just check out douglas adams website.
