Im hoping someone uses the freeware program Ticker, and nice stock market price retriever

mine stopped getting the stock data. I upgraded to the intel version 3.1m and deleted the plist it said to do at the home page but neither version now updates or gets the data

my other stock app: applestockdoc works fine but only gives me aapl

any ideas?

cheers

Where does this app retrieve its data from? Have you checked to see if the site is accessible and still provides this web service?

I can't say I know where it gets its data from the internet. Im assuming there is public delayed stock quotes somewhere and Ticker and AAPLStockDock go to that same place. no way of knowing really but your point is a good one. PowerTicker is working, and a few others as well

anyother ideas out there> Ticker is really a very nice program, when its working!

cheers

there seems to be no way to contact the author as I can see

and then out of the blue it started working again.

the intel version seems somewhat buggy as it crashes from time to time

thanks

cheers again

I did notice with some of the other 'ticker' programs you could choose the source of the feed for the financial info such as Yahoo etc

but not with Ticker.

the ppc version is more stable than the intel so ive gone back to in

its fun program and Free!
