I cannot get Aperture to import bmp files, is it possible to do this? Thx.

I think bmp files are for the part a windows format, that is Macintosh's never really embraced this file format, that being the case you'll need to convert the images over to jpg,tiff before importing them into aperture.

Out of curiosity, I tried reading some .bmp files with my Mac. Preview, Jview, and Toyviewer all handle them well. You would never guess from that that it is not an accepted file format.

If Preview handles .bmp files, you can whip up an Automator workflow in about 10 seconds that will convert all your files to .tiff.
