iTunes taking forever to import CD?

	I have an older CD, has a few blemishes across the surface, and I popped it into my Macbook to import, however, it seems to be stuck on one song, and I can hear it churning/winding up, reading the disc, and then spinning back down. It's been doing the same thing on the same song for a good 45 minutes now. I'm thinking that it can't read part of the song data? Has anyone else encountered this/what should I do? Any help would be appreciated.
