I have about 7000 photos in my library - it seems slow - will cutting it into two libraries make it faster? If so, what's the trade off / optimal size? I use a 1.67 pb.

i have 18.5 pictures in iphoto currently. i have tried to make more libraries except the speed doesnt change.
im also curious how to speed it up as mine takes a very long time to load

18.5 thousand? You're saying that cutting the library size doesn't speed it up? What size did you cut it to?
