I regularly send myself emails as to do s and also rely on iCal to schedule important dates / function.

I m using Gmail, and I can see if I log in to the web browser that the message from iCal was sent.

Hoever it never appears in Mail.app - Even if i send myself an email from Mail.app - I dont get the message.

Please can someone help - Its driving me crazy

Is this only with gmail? Are you sure you enabled POP access in your google.com/mail preferences?

Also, do you have junk filtering enabled in Mail?

Junk mail is not enabled.

POP is definitely enabled - All external messages get picked up dine - Its only messafes from gmail to gmail which appear in the web browser but not in the Mail.app.

This is still causing issues - If I send an email to myself from mail.app I dont find it in my inbox although I do see it in Gmail s browser

If I send an email from Google GMail I do see it in Mail.app

What on earth is causing this - It s driving me nuts as all important reminders are getting forgotten

Please help if you can

This is a misfeature of Gmail -- if you sent mail to yourself via Gmail's SMTP servers, it doesn't actually deliver it to your POP address.
