OK, I have a PB 1.67 with Tiger, latest updates. iLife 06, and iDVD usually works for me. I have a project (about 20 minutes of video, in three separate movies) that I am trying to burn.
This happens whether I try to burn to a disk or create an image.
After about an hour of rendering, the machine just hangs. The mouse moves, but nothing else, the clock is stuck, the radiation wheel stops spinning etc. No other apps will respond either.
I have repaired privileges, and repaired a fault on the drive using Disk Util. It still happens. Nothing else is open when this happens.
Any ideas?

Maybe you are short on RAM or HDD space?

How much of each do you have, and how long is the project? Also, what type of disc are you burning to? (brand too)

1.5gb ram, 17gb free disk space, about 10 minutes of video total. Can't remember the brand, but it basically never gets to the burn stage.

OK - after calling Apple, I set up a new user account, and burned it ok from that, so there's something funny about my users prefs...
