I had the same problem with Acqlite (BTW i think it's lighter than limewire). It was not connecting to any P2P network. I deleted the downloads.bat and download.bak files stored in Incomplete folder (i think limewire also have it) and it worked again. The problem was that my partially downloaded files were not recovered by the program, so i had to download them again.

thanks for your comments

just seems odd that both my PTP programs would stop working at the same time

i don't think your fix will work for me/my situation

but thanks for sharing.... (no pun intended)

Having a similar problem here...newer versions of Acquisition won't connect to the network, but older versions (the latest being 128.5) still work fine. Any ideas what is causing this? Running 10.4.9 on a G4...

My Cabos stopped working also. How very odd that they're all P2P. Mine doesn't even get to the point where it has the UI up, it says there is a runtime error.

Cabos works fine here.

Are you perhaps on the same ISP, and your ISP has blocked illegal file sharing traffic?

Acquisition and Cabos are both based on the Limewire core, so it's not so hard to believe that if one stops working due to network issues the others would too.

If it's a network issue, then why do older versions of Acquisition still work perfectly on my computer?

I have had the same problem. And if I am able to connect I only get 5 kb download speed. I used to get over 150.

My acquisition didn't connect to. I tried different ways to solve the problem. At last I searched for all files on my computer with acquisition in their name and put 'em all in the trash. Then I emptied the trash.
After that I downloaded and installed Version 132.7 - my Mac is running system 10.3.9. Now acquisition works fine again!
