Hi guys, heres a piece of software i made after i got annoyed when i was using programs like "Alarm Clock Pro" which wouldnt work if i enabled the inbuilt OSX screenlock, i hope anyone in the same position will like it.

PS. Its also good if you just wanna lock the screen manually as well...
PSS. Although this may seem useless to some, this application was intended so users can have a locked screen when the machine wakes up but not from a screensaver (something OSX dont allow) as well as giving a lock screen that can work with applications like "Alarm Clock Pro"

Download

SleepLock

SleepLock is a custom built Screen Locking mechanism, it was designed after the Apple lock that is available in Apple Remote Desktop, its main purpose however is to serve the users that run programs such as alarm clocks. Often these programs need the computer to login and can not have the "lock screen, awake from sleep" option Apple provides enabled, however this Application allows for the best of both worlds

Installation

To install simply drag "SleepLock" to the "Applications" folder, From here launch "SleepLock"

How To Use

SleepLock is quite easy to use, it is a menu based driven application so you will notice a small grey lock in the menu bar on the right hand side.

Click on the icon and from here you can choose your options, if this is your first time click "Set Password" and enter your password then press enter.

After setting your password you can either enable the SleepLock or you can manually lock the screen with the "Lock" option

Scripting?

We are investigating the concept of allowing scripts to enable the lock so that programs like QuickSilver or other such application launchers can lock the screen (Imagine a hotkey to lock your screen like in windows)
