I use Office 2004 but not Entourage. I don't even have it installed. I never installed it. OK, I installed it a long time ago, uninstalled all of Office, then came crawling back but didn't install Entourage the second time around. Problem is, the Entourage calendar keeps showing up in iCal. And if I delete it, it comes back. Sometimes within a matter of seconds. How do I make it stop???

I'm not clear about your question, iCal and Entourage are totally different animals. So, I don't understand what you mean when you say that the Entourage calendar keeps showing up in iCal. They use different databases, which can be imported/exported into each other, but only if you choose to do so. Can you provide some more details? Thanks!

iCal lets you have several calendars. For example, I have a Home calendar, a Work calendar, and have subscriptions to a few online calendars. When you install Office 2004 and Entourage, Entourage gives you the option of keeping its calendar and contacts synced with iCal and your Address Book. When you do this, a calendar named Entourage appears in iCal. Well, I don't have Entourage installed and don't want an Entourage calendar in iCal.

Here's a pic if you're still unclear:

Ah, yes, got it now! Here is what I think is happening: in Entourage --> Preferences --> Sync Services is a check box for "Synchronize events and tasks with iCal". That is the bugger. You may be able to dig around enough to find that preference or you may have to re-install Entourage just to disable it. Annoying, yes?
