Just curious, does everyone's itunes 7.1.1 lag a lot when they connect their 60 GB iPod? I am talking about horrible, not some slight thing. I click on a playlist and it takes 20 seconds to select it, sometimes this even slows down other applications. The iPod seemes to run at USB 1.0 speeds in terms of syncing too, It takes hours to sync a few albums. I have re-booted many times, re-installed the application many times. Anyone know how to fix this, or better yet, a site where I can download iTunes 6?

I am running a G5, dual 2.0 2 GB RAM.

Is the iPod's USB lead connected directly to a USB port on your Mac?
Have you tried restoring the Ipod, then uploading everything again?

Yes, and several times.

I have the 5g hooked up to the split dock cable that I got with my 3g, the one that plugs USB into the computer and Firewire to the AC adapter. I plug both USB and FW into the mac at once so I can use the actual wall charger to charge my 3g directly. I am pretty sure this split cable is USB 2.0.
