I purchased a MacBook Pro a little over a year ago

, then a few months ago I purchased AppleCare Protection Plan

(directly at an Apple Store

), then today tried to register the AppleCare Protection Plan and got an error message that my product was out of warranty

.
It is late tonight now (too late to call Apple store or support

), so I am wondering if anyone knows why this problem might be happening -- after all when I bought the AppleCare Protection Plan, I was told that as long as I PURCHASED the AppleCare Protection Plan within 1 year of the original date of buying the MacBook Pro, that everything was fine ... which I did

. I did however, wait until today to do an online registration, and it was a couple months ago that I bought the AppleCare Protection Plan.
It looks like the software online that takes the MacBook Pro serial number doesn't consider that the AppleCare Protection Plan might have been purchased a few days before beginning the registration process.
Anyone experienced in this?

Any suggestions? My notion is to call Apple support and have them review the situation

. It is, of course, frustrating to be told one thing by Apple salespersons in their store, only to run into problems

. Perhaps this is a problem that can be easily righted, but with such an apparently professional organization it seems unusual to see an oversight like this

.
I suppose one bureaucracy is little different from another bureaucracy?
Thanks
