Ok so what i need is a good FREE photo editor that has filter tools and a history tool like the one in photo shop. I have tried many programs but I can't find anything thaty has the HISTORY tool. I need something like that. Any sugestions?
2ghz macbook /120gb hd ,1gb ram, superdrive/iwork

You could try GiMP, although I don't know if it has a History display. The closest thing to Photoshop without paying for the full version is Elements.

I have gimpshop is that the same thing? It doesnt have history tools

Gimpshop is a skin for Gimp that tries to match the Photoshop interface closely. It the same thing, with a different control set.
