Is it possible to have a tabbed window for xcode. I don't like having one window per file, it gets too cluttered. I realize there is split view also, but on my 12 inch powerbook that's kinda tough to work with. Is there a way to horizontally split the windows? I feel like every convienient way to arrange files is not possible.

No, Xcode doesn't have tabs. You can use the File History pulldown to achieve a similar effect if you have several files that you want to switch quickly between but don't want to use the integrated editor.
