Hi i just purchased a macbook and was wondering if any of you could recommend a good firewall preferably free. ?

OS X has a great firewall built in, it's free... are you looking for an alternative?

Have a glance under System Prefs -> Sharing -> Firewall Tab, you can allow/disallow features, etc.

I'd advise leaving the firewall on in general as although OSX doesn't broadcast itself and acts very passively you never know when events might change..?

I'm sure someone on here will be able to discuss all this in much more depth if needed..!
