Hi,
I'm a bit lost here. I had disabled Bookmarks searching in Spotllight because I used Firefox for a while and didn't want the bookmarks to show up in a search(I'm picky like that) So now i'm back in Safari and I enable bookmarks search in Spotlight. And what can I search ? Nada. Zero.
I found a temporary solution and that was to export my current bookmarks and then importing them again. Leaving them in the "imported *date*" categori in Safari.
However this I cannot live with having to export/import each time I bookmark a site and then want to use Spotlight for the sake of it.
So far I tried; rebuilding Spotlight after enabling bookmarks search. Doing the maintenance tasks(All of them). My System and User Cache has also been emptied. And I've restarted a couple of times after doing each task basically. Still no love for me with Spotlight searching bookmarks(other than the solution i've come up with by importing them and leaving them alone)
I clearly remember being able to search through my bookmarks before I began using Firefox as my primary browser and having the bookmarks ticked in Spotlight preferences.
Someone enlighten me, please. And tell me where I should have put this thread because it's both OS X and an application(Safari) :-)
Thanks in advance. I hope someone here can help.
EDIT: okay, so I managed to get things working by deleting the Safari folder in ~/Library and re-importing my bookmarks(once again). You guys can disregard this thread really.
