I upgraded to Firefox 2 and now as soon as I put any letter in the History Sidebar search field, trying to find a visited link, all the URL's disappear! Nothing is found (null set) no matter if the search has an exact URL as listed (or parts thereof). Can this be fixed? I am on a MacBook Pro.

That's a feature, not a bug.

It only searches the page titles, not their URL or content.

actually, i'm seeing the same problem as original poster and firefox doesn't seem to be searching either urls or page titles. anyone else had success with a fix?

hmm, found a mozilla bug report

Unfortunately it was opened a year ago, since firefox3 is supposed to have a history replacement called "Places", I'm not optimistic we'll ever get a fix in firefox 2.x.

Plus, considering Places was originally planned for completion in 2.0, who knows if it will ever get delivered.
