Slide miniatures not showing up in Powerpoint 04, help!?

	In MS Office 2004 for mac, in powerpoint (on my macbook, running 10.4.9), The slide miniatures won't showup on the left hand side of the normal view. I only see the "outline" on the left which is very annoying. The slide miniatures (thumbnails) always used to showup in Powerpoint on my old Windows XP laptop... any ideas? Ive changed every view option but nothing helps... thanks!
