here's the deal;
i want to run itunes on a powerbook (10.4.9) at a club;
we want to leave itunes onscreen, but not have anything accessible without a password, so...you see the itunes window (album arwork showing) but no one can CHANGE anything..

ideas?

thanks!

Hide the pb, and connect an external monitor. Show the monitor, not the computer.

Here's one way to do something like that.

System Preferences > Security > Require password to wake this computer from sleep.
System Preferences > Desktop and Screen Saver > Screen Saver > iTunes Artwork

The option does exist in screensaver, at least in 10.4
And grabbing album art is simple, there are many solutions out there. mdc has solved your problem, you just need to implement the solution.

iTunes automatically downloads album artwork these days - all you have to do is set it in the preferences.
