Safari web history won't delete

My web history on Safari will not delete.
Safari 1.2.4
Mac iBook G4 Os 10.3.7
In the help menu it tells me what to do but the history will not delete. I tried deleting individually, no go. I trashed Safari and reinstalled software, no go.

Just delete ~/Library/Safari/ and the history is history. And don't use Safari to browse porn without the private navigation on!

You say "the history will not delete" when you use the Safari history option to delete it. How do you know this-does it still show up in the History menu? Have you tried exiting Safari and then restarting?
Voodoo, that wasn't particularly "nice," but it is the next step if the menu option, and resetting Safari really doesn't work.

Go download a utility called yasu. This will delete it and do alot more.
