I have a powerbook G4 and my desktop was frozen so my husband went in and reset my preferences. It cleared up the problem but I lost my apple mail account. Is there anyway to recover it? All my business emails were in there, very frustrating!!! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by "reset your preferences," but if you are using the Mail program, open Mail. In the Mail menu, got to Preferences and go to the Accounts section. Is your mail account listed on the left? If it is, click it and check all your settings. If it is not listed, click the + sign at the bottom to create a new account with your account settings. You may need to contact your ISP if you don't know the correct settings, but most ISPs have these settings published on their support web site.

Before you do anything, please clear up what exactly you mean by "reset your preferences".

I can think of several things, and that determines your choices.

Thanks you guys. It's fixed. i just went into mail (when I opened up the mail program it said you have no accounts) and recreated my account (there was no evidence that it existed anymore) and everything came up, even the email addresses I had save and was so worried about.

Thanks for the help

Best,
prissyjean
