yahoo messenger problem

Hi totally new to mac and I have yahoo messenger. It worked fine for a while and then I tried to use the web cam and it shut down. Now it shuts down EVERY time I open it, right after I open it. Do you guys have any suggestions or is this a yahoo problem? TIA

Trash its preferences file which you should find in ~/Library/Preferences.

I cant find its preference file.

Use Spotlight. It should be called something like com.yahoo.messenger.plist or so (don't have it installed on this machine, so I can't tell exactly, but you get the idea).

Have you found the yahoo file in the library? There are two libraries, one for your user account, and one for the whole computer - you need to find the one in your user account most likely.
