Hey folks, I want to get my friend hooked on the TV show LOST, and I have been downloading all of the current season. I want to burn the episodes that I downloaded (and payed for) from iTunes Store. It is the .m4v Protected MPEG-4 format. I am wondering if there is a way to import these to iDVD, or another similar program and make a DVD out of them? Does anyone know of any programs, tricks, anything? I have a new iMac, 2.66 ghz IC2D, all software updated as of this morning. Many thanks.

No, you haven't paid for the 'right' to do that.
But if you remove the 'Fairplay' DRM, then you could do it. I forget if the forum rules here allow discussing how to remove the DRM, so I'm not going to.

He didn't pay for the right to do that because the studios haven't granted that right in the first place. Besides, I don't think you can remove the FairPlay from a protected movie.

So is that a no? I know that with the songs from the iTunes store ou can import those tracks to most other programs and use them as a basic non-protected file. A lot of people say the .m4v is a newer format and not everything is perfectly compatible with it yet? Does anyone have Toast(Titanium?) and have iTunes videos from the store? Thanks for the help.

Never mind, Apple answered my question on there website. Purchased movies will not work with Apple programs other than iTunes, QuickTime, etc. Def not in iMovie, iDVD...etc. Thats a bummer cause I had a killer menu setup, and I bought QT Pro thinking it would help...
