I am so fed up with this damn app. The list is long...terrible support, constantly importing double notes, hangs on opening . Free upgrade won't recongnise my liscence, OpenBase corrupted and can't reinstall on one Mac...blah blah.

Anyway I have decided enough is enough and am looking for a replacement. The main requirement now is being able to sync accross macs and also as a repository for passwords and usernames, with security is preferable.

Y'know I have given this app lots of chances and really wanted it tro work but after another problem today I'm out.

What's yohimbo like? What other alternatives?

Yojimbo's probably the best bet with the synching thing. It's good at a fairly large number of notes -- it only starts to get creaky if you store huge numbers of PDFs (say, a few GB worth) in there.

Not sure of many other note apps that synch -- there are scads (DEVONthink, Journler, Mori, etc.,) but they don't sync all that well.

Can I make notes private ie password protect them in the way I can in soho notes?

Yes, Yojimbo supports protected notes.

Download a demo. It's free for 30 days (and you can evaluate for longer if you want to delete your database and start over -- as it uses the database creation date as its start date for evaluation).
