I have a website (for a magazine) I visit quite a bit. In Safari, I get an error notice saying "there was a problem with the request," followed by another one saying "undefined."

The same thing happens if I happen to use the browser built into DevonAgent. In Devon, I think it further says something about it being a Javascript error.

However, if I use Firefox I get no error message. The site works perfectly.

Any ideas why this is? It's annoying. Plus, I'm wondering why a site works with one browser and not another, and what Firefox has that Safari does not.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what Firefox has that Safari hasn't, but you could consider using the "Report problem to Apple" command in the Safari application menu. That gives Apple a chance to analyze the issue. Then just get over it and use Firefox for that particular site.

You might also try with a WebKit nightly to see if the issue has been fixed in more recent builds.

I have started to use Firefox for that site -- it's just easier all the way around. I just keep wondering (though I'm running 10.4.9) if something in my own system is to blame, as opposed to sarfari.
