I got a CD with my shoulder MRI from my doctor, but it won't open on my Mac. Is there a program to open or convert this so I can view it? Thanks for any help.
I am unable to upload a jpg for some reason, but the CD has an AUTORUN.EXE, AUTORUN.INF, a CDVIEWER folder and a DICOMBIR file. I have no idea what app or program would show this.

Windows

Autorun.inf is a file that Windows looks at when you put in a CD. It tells Windows what files to open automatically. In this case it is probably going to open autorun.exe. You can open Autorun.inf with textedit to look at it.
Could you provide a file list of what's inside the cdviewer folder, and a size of the dicombir file please?

You can use http://imageshack.us to upload a screenshot of the folders if you'd like.

Try drag the start.htm file to Safari and see if that helps you out. If that doesn't do anything, try the .htm files in Safari.

If all else fails you might want to try get access to a PC.
If you have an Intel Mac you could install Parallels or VMware, or use Boot Camp, to use Windows to view the CD. If you're on a PPC Mac you can use VirtualPC to use Windows.

Solved. Download OsiriX (free) and you can open the DICOMB file. Works great.
