i installed safari 3 beta, and wish i hadn't; i missed shapeshifter, pithhelmet. uninstalled the beta, but lost transparent dock, an important app for me. TD allows the dock to pop up behind an open window, giving me fullscreen use on my 12" pb.

so..
i tried knockoutdock, didn't like it, uninstalled that. installed dockblock (which i used to use).
when i disable the dock, the knockoutdock effect (a tiny dock, upper right hand corner) still appears.

tried this in a 'test' user account, same thing (so it's not in my user account).
deleted plists, replaced the dock.app info.plist; trying everything i can think of.

probably NO ONE has this exact problem ( ) but...any ideas? something in library or the system i need to fix??
