ok my quicktime is really pissing me off! its been this way for a few weeks now, i go to play a video lets say a trailer for a movie on apple's trailers page and it will start loading like normal and when it thinks its ready to play, it starts. now it plays fine for maybe 1/3 of the time and then it picks a frame and freezes on it as the sound continues. sometimes it might make it 2/3rds the way through but not often. its driving me insane because i can watch anything!
Any Advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of us have described this exact same problem in this thread: http://forums.macnn.com/82/applicati...icture-freeze/
although we haven't really been able to find a solution yet (however, we have tried some fixes that have failed! So we are narrowing down...).

The fact that several people are experiencing the same issue only within the last few weeks tells me it is definitely a bug in QT Update 7.1.5 or 7.1.6.

The question is, would a future update like 7.1.7 correct a problem like this?
