Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has some info on the current state of development of the OS X port of mplayer.
A quick search on versiontracker returns these two versions:
link (Release Date: 2006-12-11) and link (Release Date: 2005-05-20).

If those dates are correct they seem to be quite outdated. Indeed, the one I use can hardly decode x264.

Anyone have any insight on this ?

The version I have was created on Dec. 3, 2006. It works fine for what I want it to do.
