Hi,

I want to make a bootable back up of my hard drive to my external firewire hard drive. I want things synced so that the clone always reflects what is on my original drive. However, I have extra files that I keep only my external. Is there a way to have a bootable back up and extra files share the same external hard drive?

I hope this question makes sense.

Thanks.

Cloning drives is a horrible way to back up files. You should consider incremental backups instead.

One of the best back up software prgms. on the market today is Super Duper. I think it'll do exactly what you want. Here's a link: SuperDuper!
