Hello everyone. I am new to these forums and have been working with macs for a little over 2 years. I am a Systems Administrator for a company in Tennessee. My question is concerning Document management and macs. We are looking for a solution to our every growing email issues with our Art dept. Their email account is over 20gb with more than a million emails. We are looking at a document imaging solution that take the email straight from the inbox and indexes it, and stores it in a shared folder. Works great if you are a Windows user. It saves the files as a .msg which as far as I know mac mail does not open. So that is my question. Is there a way to view .msg's in OS X? Thanks in advance.
If I only knew it would be like this

What you could do is find a mail provider that will allow you to create shared mailboxes (Courier and Cyrus IMAP do, for instance), and use an email client that will allow you to manage folder subscriptions.

This way, you can archive all of your old messages in a folder that is accessible to the others in your department, yet you can hide it from your listing when you aren't interested in it or don't want it to be included in searches.

OS X Mail in Leopard will manage folder subscriptions, Thunderbird does now.

There are a number of tools that will manage these files outside of your email, are any of these an option?
