I've just performed a clean install on my G4 Powerbook with OS 10.4, and the first thing I did was to begin downloading video podcasts to iTunes. However, while the download status shows podcasts downloading, the data seems to disappear once it's done- the podcast listing goes gray and I can try downloading the same podcast an infinite number of times. I've checked the iTunes director in Finder, and while I see tmp folders for the podcasts, again, they vanish once the download completes. Suggestions?

Bump. Still having trouble with disappearing video podcasts after they download, plus I've noticed that my available hard drive space is shrinking afterward. So they certainly are going somewhere on my hard drive, but where???

I'm having the EXACT same problem. Did a clean install on my G5, and am now running 10.4.10. My podcasts download, then disappear. My 160 GB hard drive is down to 2 GB and it only has the OS and some MP3's, nothing else! I just got an AppleTV, so this is getting real frustrating not being able to download my video podcasts and use it.

I have the same exact problem. I updated to iTune 7.3.2 but it still does the same thing:

• It starts to download the podcast
• Gives you the time remaining
• Then gives you an error at the end saying that it is either corrupted or the wrong type of file for iTunes.

Just what is going on?
