Are there any good scanner apps out for OS X? I got a Brother all-in-one that came with Presto Page Manager 7. I HATE THIS APP. I'm looking for an app that will auto size a picture or document scanned depending on the size (ie. 3x5 card or 8x10 photo. One that may work towards creating a searchable database of scans (ie. go paperless) or something along those lines.

VueScan is pretty good. A bit slow, but it has very good scanner support and it's reliable.

I don't know if it supports your scanner, but you can have a look. It's by Hamrick Software.

A number of scanners are also useable thorugh ImageCapture.app (in Utilites). You might need SANE drivers for your scanner, and many scanners work if you install TWAIN SANE.
