When I delete messages from any Mail file, they now disappear completely and no longer sit in the Trash. I tried making adjustments in Preferences, but to no avail. Besides this, my Spell Checker has not worked in months and I cannot add any Signatures. I have learned to do without both but I would need to keep my deleted items for a few days.
