before when i had QuicktimePro 7 i could watch full screen on one monitor and leave the other monitor free to surf web, i chat, whatever....BUT, now when i go full screen in Quicktime and click on my other monitor in any app, the full screen mode dies, and retreats back to regular mode...LAME!!!
is there any workaround to this?? anyone???

Check your QuickTime preferences. There's a setting for remaining in full screen mode when the player isn't frontmost.
