I was using MacJournal and something got corrupted, causing it to erase a bunch of journal entries. I want to somehow try and get them back. I'm guessing those bits are still on the hard drive somewhere....

Anyone have any ideas what sort of tool(s) I might use for this endeavor??

Data Rescue II (http://www.prosofteng.com/) is usually regarded as the best tool for this purpose.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Did you try the Thorough Search? The Quick Search usually doesn't do it.

Search old threads and/or start a new thread. Your question isn't related to data recovery.
