hi all. i have two macs: imac on the desk and a macbook. i travel a ton, but when i'm at home i prefer the imac for the screen real estate. this, however, can be a challenge as i find that i often have the files i need on different machines which i can't effectively continue to manage. i am curious if there is a very convenient way to synchronize my files. i know marc/space has a product called "synctogether", but $50 seems like a stretch for something so trivial.

i would also consider having both machines backed up to an external drive and then them syncing that way if it is possible, although i would need to be able to configure what was not synced on my macbook (e.g. all my photos). thanks for any help.

I use ChronoSync for the exact same reason. Why is 50 bucks a stretch?
