Hi all,
I'm wondering if it's me or if there's something wrong with iMovie. I'm trying to make a slide show. When I click on an image in my iPhoto library and turn the Ken Burns effect to ON, and then add the image to the playlist, the effect never sticks, it just stays there as a static image. Is this a known bug? If I click on the image and click on the "Show Photo Info" button, the Ken Burns effect turns off again. I reapply and nothing happens. This is getting VERY frustrating.

iMovie, or iPhoto? Slideshow, or video? Your question is not at all clear.

There was a bug in an old version of iMovie that reproducibly did what you describe.

It was fixed in a .x.x update at the time, though.

I haven't seen it since.

I've worked with iMovie HD (5) and iMovie HD 6 and never seen this.

"I'm trying to make a slide show"

and...

"Ken Burns effect never works with iMovie"

So why are you telling me that what I wrote isn't clear?

You generally make slideshows in iPhoto and movies in iMovie. A slideshow in iMovie may not be the best way to describe it.

Try burning one to a DVD.

Patient: "Doctor, every time I sit down, I have this terrible pain in my back!"
Doctor: "Well, don't do that, then."
