I have a mac pro and 6gb of ram. I am still getting page outs. Although low, I still want none. This happens using mpeg stream clip too. Whats the optimum memory requirements in iMovie to get zero page outs?

But page outs aren't that big of a deal, I'd expect every modern OS to do quite a few of them. Are you also seeing a large number of page ins?
