I remember seeing the introduction to Tiger in the summer of 2004 and being amazed at how, utilizing H.264, amazingly clear the video chat quality was.
Once Tiger came out, a bunch of people complained that the quality was no different then people read the
fine print regarding system requirements. I was one of those people and although I was disappointed, Tiger rocked (and still does) and was not in the least unhappy.
I am, however, puzzled at why now over 3 years after that demo and almost 2.5 years after the release of Tiger into the wild the quality still hasn't noticeable improved on all these newer systems and better internet connections, all superceding the system requirements for "Best" quality according to Apple.
Has anyone else actually experienced that super-high quality video chatting as demoed at the 2004 WWDC?
