Weird problem here. I have a first gen Macbook, with my account info transferred from an old iMac. When I try to use iWork - any of the modules - the program never starts up. I see the icon start to bounce on the dock and then it just goes away. BUT, I have other user accounts on the machine, which were created from scratch, not transferred over from another machine, and they do not have this problem. IOW, iWork works fine when another user is logged in.

Does anyone have any idea what may be interfering with iWork in this situation? All I could think of was repairing disk permission, which didn't help. Thanks.

Trash your permissions at /Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. The three files you want to delete are com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist, com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist, and com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist

That should take care of things for you.

Well, that didn't work either. Hmm...
