my default browser is camino. However, I was browsing some photos on flickr (this one to be exact: Sunset in Juvika on Flickr - Photo Sharing!) and a comment said that the colors look a lot better in Safari. So I opened up the same photo in safari and the color did look a lot more vibrant. In Camino however, it seems that the colors are a lot more washed out.

I'm just wondering why is like this and is there a way to change Camino's colors to Safari's. Thanks.

Safari supports color profiles in photos. I think it's the only browser that does this. That would be the difference you're seeing.

hm.. so there's no way to implement color profiles for camino or other browsers?
if not, then i may actually consider using safari full time.

OmniWeb has included support for colour profiles for several years, long before Safari/WebKit.

The support has to be added by the developers of the rendering engine, not the other way around. Mozilla are considering adding colour profile support to Gecko, but I can't recall if is is merely an intention or whether it is actually slated to be a new feature in Firefox 3.0.

Firefox 3 will support ColorSync, I believe. Until then, looks like Safari is your best bet.
