iMovie HD Crash... everything is screwed... what do do?

	I just spend 2.5 hours making something in iMovie, and it crashed for no reason. Now, half my footage is in the trash, but I can't drag anything from the trash to the clips area. I also can't drag any transitions from the transition area to the timeline. Also, everything I've done in the past hour was gone. Even though I'd been saving every few minutes. WHY?!?!?! Is there any solution, other than sending Apple hate mail?
