I have CS3 and was having a few quirky problems so I decided to "uninstall" and then reinstall.

I selected uninstall which deleted most of the files associated with CS3. The problem is that I didn't get back the disk space on my computer. The files were not put in the trash.

I reinstalled and am now down about 5gb of disk space. I cannot figure out where the files are. I emptied the trash, even though it was empty. I restarted my computer.

The "uninstalled" files are somewhere in never never computerland, I think.

Does anyone have any ideas.

I have a MacBook Pro running the latest version of the Mac OS.

Thank you

Download and run OmniDiskSweeper. My guess is that the deleted files are in a tmp directory that is not normally visible. ODS will let you find out where.

Also WhatSize is a good util for the same thing -- finding the space-hogging files.
WhatSize 10.3.92 - MacUpdate
