I have a question regarding Powerpoint or Keynote.
I am wondering if there is a way to save annotations made to slides in either of these programs.
FOR EXAMPLE: In powerpoint, when in presentation mode I can use the pen tool to make annotations on a slide. BUT when I move to the next slide, the annotations are gone. What I want to do is have my annotations saved, so that I can review them at a later point in time.
I only have the original version of Keynote, but would buy the newest version if I had it confirmed that this feature existed.
My reason for wanting this feature is that my sister is in Med School. Many of her lectures are PowerPoint presentations. Rather than printing the slides and writing on paper, she would like to be able to use her Wacom Tablet to simply write on the slides, and save her notes.
I have yet to find a way for her to do this. If anyone knows of a way in which this can be done, please let me know (note: it would be necessary to move between slides and have the annotations stay on their respective slides, and to be able to save the presentation WITH the annotations).
Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

I also wish you could draw on the screen during a presentation, but that feature doesn't appear to be in the new Keynote either.

At the end of a PowerPoint slideshow, there's usually a dialog box asking if you wan to save your notations.

This is not the case on Powerpoint 2004. Are you sure we are talking about the same thing? I am talking about when you go to View Show, then click in the lower left corner, switch the pointer to Pen, make annotations, and then continue with the presentation. The annotations you make disappear as soon as you advance or rewind the slide, never again to be recovered. What I want to do is save the annotations I make using the pen tool.

I'm talking about that, but in Windows versions. You think It'd be the same in Mac versions.
