Probems importing my video from camera to iMovie

	I just bought my first camcorder and I can't seem to import my video from the HD disk. I've connected the camera to my MacBook with a firewire cable. When I open iMovie and select the videocamera icon (which launches the import window) I get two buttons that say either "import" or "done". The problem is that when I hit import, it simply starts recording what my camera is shooting. However, I want to actually what I've already shot on the tape. Any help? Thanks, T.
