I figure this may not be a big deal once Leopard comes out, but for now...

Is there a helper app or anything that would allow me to have two sets of Universal Access/preference/Safari preference/etc. data? I use my iMac (pre-Front Row) as a TV and would like to have larger text, zooming enabled, different Safari prefs, etc., but only while sitting on my couch-- couldn't deal with it when using the iMac as a standard computer.

Hope that makes sense and someone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks!

Create a new user account with the settings you desire. Enable Fast User Switching, and jump over to the TV account for viewing.

Yeah, but then I run into all sorts of problems with the Homes being separate for the users. Like, my Safari bookmarks wouldn't be the same for both users, my EyeTV files would only be on one user (though I think I could fix that particular problem).

I'm too lazy to look up a lot of details, but I know there's some software called RooSwitch that lets you switch between different sets of prefs for pretty much any apps. There's another one whose name escapes me, but I know I've seen it mentioned on TUAW, probably in the same post as RooSwitch
