I was adding a video to my iMovie project, which I'm trying to use again, though its rather slow on my computer. Anyways, it has the Created By Flip4Mac Trial Version or whatever it is in the video. Is there anything I can do to fix this, besides getting the full version?

Nope, that is their way of getting you to pay for the "pro" version. You were converting an AVI file to Quicktime, correct?

No. I added a QuickTime and it converted it to whatever it did. It was a movie from my iTunes library, and I was simply adding it. When it was done, it had the watermark.

I found the problem. No QuickTime. As dumb as that sounds. It'll probably work after I download it.

It is COMPLETELY impossible that you have no QuickTime installed.
iMovie would not run AT ALL.
If iMovie is showing any kind of video, you have QuickTime, because iMovie is BASED upon QuickTime. The QuickTime Player is irrelevant to this; QuickTime is a system-level service.
What is the exact filename of the video you were trying to import, including the extension?

Flip for Mac is an AVI/WM player for Mac created since MS no longer supports WMP. It does not play QT files, it use QT to play AVI/WMP files

Flip4Mac WMV Products
You need at least their "WMV Player Pro" product to import WMV encoded video into iMovie without the trial message. The people who wrote Flip4Mac want to be paid.
Alternatively you could try VLV Player and its Streaming/Exporting Wizard feature and export into something else, then import into iMovie.

Does it play in the QuickTime player?
If it does, Get Information (Apple-i) and tell us what the codec is.
I suspect it's a .avi file, where some moron changed the file ending, thinking that this would change the video into a QuickTime file.
I repeat, it is completely impossible that you did not have QuickTime installed.

Well, it isn't new. Its passed through many hands. I'd only be so lucky to get a new one. It wouldn't be an iBook G4.

I'll just have to believe you on that, because I clearly don't deserve the title Mac User #001 yet. There's so much more I need to learn. And when I get an Intel Mac, whatever it is, I want to make sure I know all the ins and outs of the system so I can fully utilize its power. This iBook G4 is a perfect way to do that. Thanks for your continued help, by the way.

Ah - that's your problem, then.
It's not actually a QuickTime file.
So yes, Chongo and TETENAL were correct.
