Hi, i am new here.

I have this problem, when i fwd an email with an attachments, in many cases the people i have forwarded to reply to me that nothing is forwarded. I have found no solution searching apple support or google, and i see other users in other forums have the same problem but they also have no solution, only to re-direct the emails instead of fwding them which doesnt really help me.

Has anyone here encountered this, can someone help?

I use macbook with apple mail 2.1.1

Thanx!
Aris

I had a similar problem, and tracked it down to Safari 3 beta.

If you have this installed, I'd check for an update in Software Update as this solved the problem for me.

Alternatively, try un-installing Safari 3 beta.

what does THAT have to do with anything??? no, i am using my personal email which has nothing to do with mac.com. I have several accounts in fact. This should NOT affect apple mail, as it should not affect outlook (pc), or whatever other email program.

Try updating Safari (or go back to version 2)

I don't know how they are linked, but I had a very similar problem, which was fixed by doing this.

I've had this problem with Mail since its creation. Its handling of attachments, especially to Windows users, has never been as good as other apps, especially Eudora. Even with the "Send Windows friendly attachments" selected, I routinely have attachments not arriving at their destination.

Two solutions:

1. I use Eudora for any sensitive emails where I need to know that the attachment will reach its destination.

2. (WARNING: Shameless Plug :-) My company is working on a Eudora replacement. We've always felt that Eudora was a best-of-breed email application that, unfortunately, was not given enough attention by Qualcomm. Now that Qualcomm has abandoned support for Eudora, and shoved it onto the Mozilla/Thunderbird project, we believe the time is right.

Therefore we've begun work on an email program that will have all the features, including unrivaled compatibility, of Eudora (with full backward compatibility with Eudora), with the interface and OS X integration of Mail.

Beta will be available by the end of the year, with the final version in Q1 of 2008.

i must say, i used to work with eudora like 10 years ago when i had windows, but the newer editions of outlook where just no match. outlook is a must for windows users. also, the interface of eudora for mac, simply doesnt cut it. its very "old style" and completely "unfriendly". :-( apple mail is for good or bad the best solution, after that comes thunderbird. all this is my humble opinion.

Which is exactly why we want to combine Eudora's features with Mail's interface. No other program quite matches the features of Eudora, for the email power user. But you're absolutely right.... the interface sucks. Its stuck back in the early 90's.

Even on Windows, a lot of people still use Eudora rather than put up with the viruses and trojans that Outlook opens the door to.

A relative of mine has this same problem. I haven't been able to come up with a fix for it, and I've tried a number of things.

You could, of course, save the attachments and reattach them to a new email, but obviously this is not ideal.

(I don't use Apple Mail myself, so my experience with this problem is limited... I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird right now).
